How to Print Your French Bulldog Printables
Every sheet on this page is free for personal use. Click Download PDF for a print-ready file sized for US Letter (A4 works too - choose "Fit to page" in the print dialog), or Print to send the sheet straight to your printer. Plain paper is fine for a desk or a fridge; a heavier 28 lb / 110 gsm sheet stays flat on a wall and takes color better.
The monthly calendars come in matching sets of twelve, so you can print the whole year at once with Full 2027 Year PDF, punch two holes along the top and hang the stack on binder rings - or take it to a copy center for spiral binding. New French Bulldog printables are added to this same page, so bookmark it and check back.
About the French Bulldog
For a dog called French, the Frenchie has a very English beginning. In the 1800s the lace workers of Nottingham kept small bulldogs as lap companions and ratters. When the Industrial Revolution pushed the lace trade across the Channel, the workers took their little dogs with them to Normandy, and Paris fell for them at once. Parisian breeders crossed them with local terriers and pugs, kept the upright "bat" ears the English breeders disliked, and by the 1880s the Bouledogue Français was the darling of the city's cafés, dance halls and artists' studios. American visitors carried the breed home, founded the French Bull Dog Club of America in 1897, and settled the ear question for good: bat ears, or it is not a Frenchie. In 2022 the French Bulldog became the most popular dog breed in the United States, ending the Labrador's 31-year run.
Temperament
A Frenchie is a clown in a small, serious-looking body. They are affectionate to the point of being clingy, funny without trying, and happiest sitting on a lap or leaning against a leg. They bark little, which makes them one of the best apartment dogs there is, and they get along with children, other dogs and most cats. They can also be stubborn, so training works best with patience, treats and a sense of humor. What they want most is company; a French Bulldog left alone all day is a sad French Bulldog.
Size, coat and care
Frenchies stand 11 to 13 inches at the shoulder and weigh under 28 pounds. The coat is short, smooth and easy to keep with a weekly brush, in brindle, fawn, cream, white and pied, with a smooth wrinkled face that needs its folds wiped clean now and then. The flat face means they overheat easily and are poor swimmers, so keep walks short in hot weather and keep them away from deep water. They do not need a lot of exercise - a couple of easy walks and some play indoors is plenty. Most live 10 to 12 years.
A few things you may not know
Frenchies cannot fly in the cabin of most airlines because of their breathing, which is why so many of them travel by car. They snore, snort and make a whole vocabulary of noises that owners learn to translate. They are famously bad at swimming: the heavy head and short legs mean most cannot keep their nose above water at all. Many of them "sit" with their back legs stretched out flat behind them, a pose Frenchie owners call the frog sit. And they rarely bark at strangers, but they will "talk" back when you talk to them.
