2027 is the Year of the Goat, so this page is our home for every goat calendar we make - and there are plenty of them. Some lean into the Lunar New Year with red lacquer, gold clouds and a proud mountain goat on the rocks; others are simply for people who love goats: a doe nuzzling her kid at golden hour, a smiling baby goat with a butterfly on its nose, a white goat in a crown of peonies. All of them cover the full year on one sheet, so you can print a single page and be done.

Every calendar here is free to download and print at home on US Letter or A4 paper. Choose a design below, hit Download PDF, and you have a wall calendar in under a minute. New designs are added regularly, so check back if you want a fresh goat for the fridge.

How to Print Your Goat Printables

Every sheet on this page is free for personal use. Click Download PDF for a print-ready file sized for US Letter (A4 works too - choose "Fit to page" in the print dialog), or Print to send the sheet straight to your printer. Plain paper is fine for a desk or a fridge; a heavier 28 lb / 110 gsm sheet stays flat on a wall and takes color better.

The monthly calendars come in matching sets of twelve, so you can print the whole year at once with Full 2027 Year PDF, punch two holes along the top and hang the stack on binder rings - or take it to a copy center for spiral binding. New Goat printables are added to this same page, so bookmark it and check back.

About the Goat

Goats were among the very first animals people ever kept - somewhere in the mountains of western Asia, about ten thousand years ago, long before there were cities to keep them in. They are still one of the most useful animals on a small farm: milk, cheese, fiber, brush clearing, and a personality that owners describe as somewhere between a dog and a mischievous toddler.

The Year of the Goat

In the Chinese zodiac, 2027 is the Year of the Goat, beginning on February 6, 2027. The same year is sometimes called the Year of the Sheep or the Year of the Ram, because the Chinese character covers all three animals. This particular cycle is the Fire Goat, which comes around once every sixty years - the last one was 1967. People born in a Goat year are said to be gentle, creative and generous, with a strong sense of beauty and a preference for peace over conflict.

Goats on the farm and in the wild

Domestic goats come in dozens of breeds, from the tiny Nigerian Dwarf to the long-eared Nubian and the silky Angora that gives us mohair. They are curious to a fault, excellent climbers and famously good at escaping fences. The white mountain goat of the Rockies and the Cascades, which appears on several calendars here, is not actually a true goat at all - it belongs to a related group of mountain antelopes - but it is every bit as sure-footed, and a great deal more photogenic on a snowy ledge.

Goat facts worth knowing

Goats have rectangular pupils, which give them a wide field of vision for spotting predators while grazing. They do not eat tin cans, but they will taste almost anything once, including the label on your calendar. A young goat is a kid, a female is a doe or nanny, a male is a buck or billy, and a group of goats is a trip, a tribe or a herd, depending on whom you ask.

How to use these calendars

Print on standard paper for the fridge, or on heavier cardstock if you want the sheet to last the year on a wall. The yearly designs work well framed, and the Lunar New Year styles make an easy gift for anyone born in a Goat year.
