How to Print Your Hydrangea Printables

Every sheet on this page is free for personal use. Click Download PDF for a print-ready file sized for US Letter (A4 works too - choose "Fit to page" in the print dialog), or Print to send the sheet straight to your printer. Plain paper is fine for a desk or a fridge; a heavier 28 lb / 110 gsm sheet stays flat on a wall and takes color better.

The monthly calendars come in matching sets of twelve, so you can print the whole year at once with Full 2027 Year PDF, punch two holes along the top and hang the stack on binder rings - or take it to a copy center for spiral binding. New Hydrangea printables are added to this same page, so bookmark it and check back.

About the Hydrangea

The hydrangea is one of the great romantics of the garden world. Native to Asia and the Americas, it was carried from Japan to European gardens in the 18th century and quickly became a favorite of cottage gardens, seaside towns and grand estates alike. In Japan, where the flower is called ajisai, whole temple gardens are planted with hydrangeas, and the June rainy season is celebrated as their blooming time — the blossoms look their very best glistening with rain.

What looks like one giant flower is actually a whole bouquet in miniature: each hydrangea head is made up of dozens of small blossoms clustered together into those famous soft globes. A single mature shrub can carry hundreds of blooms, turning into a cloud of color from early summer well into fall.

The hydrangea also holds one of the most charming secrets in botany: on many varieties, the color of the flowers depends on the soil they grow in. Acidic soil turns the blooms blue, alkaline soil turns them pink, and soil in between produces lavenders, mauves and two-toned heads. Gardeners have played with this trick for centuries — the same plant can literally change its color palette when moved to a new spot. It is a flower that repays patience, too: hydrangeas are long-lived shrubs that can thrive in the same corner of a garden for decades, growing fuller and more generous each year.

In the language of flowers, hydrangeas stand for gratitude, heartfelt emotion and abundance — a fitting companion for a calendar, quietly marking the days of a whole year. Dried hydrangea heads keep their shape and a muted version of their color for months, which is why they are beloved in wreaths, autumn arrangements and pressed-flower art.

If hydrangeas are your flower, we hope one of these calendars finds a place on your wall — and that 2027 gives you a garden full of blooms, real or printed.
