How to Print Your Cat Printables

Every sheet on this page is free for personal use. Click Download PDF for a print-ready file sized for US Letter (A4 works too - choose "Fit to page" in the print dialog), or Print to send the sheet straight to your printer. Plain paper is fine for a desk or a fridge; a heavier 28 lb / 110 gsm sheet stays flat on a wall and takes color better.

The monthly calendars come in matching sets of twelve, so you can print the whole year at once with Full 2027 Year PDF, punch two holes along the top and hang the stack on binder rings - or take it to a copy center for spiral binding. New Cat printables are added to this same page, so bookmark it and check back.

About the Cat

Cats moved in with us roughly ten thousand years ago, when the first farmers of the Near East started storing grain and the mice came with it. The cats came for the mice, the people let them stay, and nobody has quite decided since who domesticated whom. Unlike dogs, cats were never bred for a job. They chose the house, kept the terms, and only in the last two centuries did people begin shaping them into the breeds we recognize today: the flat-faced Persian, the pointed Siamese, the enormous Maine Coon, the hairless Sphynx, the curly Devon and Cornish Rex.

Character

Ask ten cat owners to describe their cat and you get ten different animals. There are lap cats and window cats, talkers and silent observers, cats that fetch and cats that would rather you did not touch them before noon. Two things are nearly universal: cats sleep about two-thirds of the day, and they treat routine as sacred. Feeding time, the sunny spot on the rug, the exact chair - a cat notices when any of it changes, and a calendar on the wall is, in its own way, a very cat-friendly object.

Care basics

Most cats live fifteen years or more indoors, and the recipe is not complicated: fresh water, good food measured rather than free-poured, a clean litter box, a scratching post that is taller than the cat when stretched, and a yearly vet visit. Long-haired breeds need brushing several times a week; short-haired cats mostly groom themselves. Play matters more than people expect - ten minutes with a wand toy in the evening solves a surprising number of behavior problems.

A few things worth knowing

A cat's purr sits around 25 to 150 hertz, a range that has been studied for its effect on healing bones and tissue. Cats have a third eyelid, a reflective layer behind the retina that makes their eyes shine at night, and a sense of smell roughly fourteen times sharper than ours. The slow blink a cat gives you from across the room is real communication - blink back slowly and many cats will answer.

Why a cat calendar

Cat calendars have hung in kitchens for a hundred years, and the reason has not changed: a cat on the wall makes the room friendlier. The sheets on this page are made to be printed at home, framed, pinned to a corkboard or clipped to the fridge. If you have a favorite breed you do not see here, we are adding cat pages breed by breed - the Maine Coon already has its own.
