A space calendar does something a garden or a kitten never quite manages: it makes a year look big. This page collects our free printable space calendars for 2027 (the Cosmos collection) - full-year sheets first, monthly sets below, and more space printables added as they are ready. Every sheet is a small science-fiction painting: a starship crossing a ringed planet, a city of glass arches on a distant world, twelve moons in orbit, a black hole with the months floating around it.
Every calendar here is free, sized for US Letter paper, and prints from any home printer. They work on a kid's wall next to the glow-in-the-dark stars, in a home office, in a classroom, or anywhere someone still looks up at night. Pick a world and hit Print. No sign-up, no watermark across the dates.
Space Yearly Calendars 2027
Nineteen one-page 2027 calendars set in deep space: starships and orbital stations, crystal canyons, a black hole, a rainbow ring of twelve worlds, gardens under glass domes. All twelve months on a single US Letter sheet, with the year in the sky and the dates on planets, portholes, petals and bubbles. Pick a world, print it, and hang the year on the wall.
How to Print Your Space Printables
Every sheet on this page is free for personal use. Click Download PDF for a print-ready file sized for US Letter (A4 works too - choose "Fit to page" in the print dialog), or Print to send the sheet straight to your printer. Plain paper is fine for a desk or a fridge; a heavier 28 lb / 110 gsm sheet stays flat on a wall and takes color better.
The monthly calendars come in matching sets of twelve, so you can print the whole year at once with Full 2027 Year PDF, punch two holes along the top and hang the stack on binder rings - or take it to a copy center for spiral binding. New Space printables are added to this same page, so bookmark it and check back.
About the Space Calendar
The calendar itself was born from the sky. Long before anyone wrote a date down, people counted new moons, watched the sun climb and fall along the horizon, and marked the morning a certain star first rose before dawn. The Egyptians tied their year to the return of Sirius. The Babylonians gave us the seven-day week from the seven bright wanderers they could see with the naked eye - and the names of the days still carry the Sun, the Moon and the planets. A calendar hanging on a wall is, in the oldest sense, a picture of the sky folded into a grid.
What is on these sheets
The worlds here are invented, but they borrow from real ones. The great ringed planets are cousins of Saturn, whose rings are made mostly of water ice and are, in places, only about ten meters thick. The rusty red plain with the astronaut and the little rover is a nod to Mars, where a day lasts almost exactly as long as ours and a year runs 687 days. The black hole with the months circling its bright edge is drawn the way the first real photograph of one looked in 2019: a dark center, a glowing ring of light bent around it. The nebulae in pink and violet are the same colors astronomers see in hydrogen and oxygen clouds where new stars are being made.
A year as the sky measures it
A year is the time Earth needs to go once around the Sun - 365 days, 5 hours and 49 minutes, which is why every fourth year picks up a leap day and 2027 does not. In that one trip we travel about 940 million kilometers and never notice. The Moon completes twelve and a bit orbits in the same time, which is where the twelve months came from and why they never quite fit. Somewhere in 2027 the Sun will have its quiet and its busy days, the Perseids will fall in August as they always do, and a handful of new probes will be on their way outward. A space calendar is a good place to write those dates down.
Why a space calendar
Space calendars are perennial favorites in classrooms and children's rooms because they invite questions - what is that ring, could people live there, how far is that. They also happen to look very good in a frame. The sheets on this page are made to be printed at home, pinned to a corkboard, taped inside a locker or hung above a desk. Each one is a single page, all twelve months at a glance, with room in the sky for a few dreams of your own.
